My 21-year-old Oldenburg gelding injured his tendon in June of 2023. He would get a bit better, then injure it again, and by July of 2024 he was dead lame. I put something on Facebook and Shelley reached out to me regarding Magnawave and Red Light therapy. I wasn’t impressed with Shockwave treatments and was looking for some sort of treatment to help him so I had Shelley start on him July 18. He was in really bad shape but stood fairly still during the treatment. She came twice a week for a few weeks and then we kept it up weekly through August and September. Shelley was always on time, cheerful, loving to the horse, and knowledgeable. We saw progress after the 1st treatment and our goal has been to get him sound enough to go in pasture. She videoed him each time and we saw real progress. Now he’s sound at the walk, pretty sound at the trot, and is out in pasture most of the time. I think the MagnaWave really helped in the healing process. I wish I had known about it when he first injured himself because it made a huge difference in healing time. I highly recommend Shelley Robertson and Magnawave and Red Light therapy.

Why MagnaWave the whole horse when the problem is in one area?

By increasing circulation in the whole body, the sensitive area receives help as richly oxygenated blood continues to flow through the area.

Is it the same as other magnetic therapy blankets and boots?

While the modality is similar the difference is in the delivery method and power. The higher power of MagnaWave provides shorter session times and quicker results.

What actually happens during a session?

The blood oxygen is increased, lymphatic system is activated, and acupuncture points are stimulated. This process reduces pain and inflammation and promotes health and wellness.

How long will the results last?

Results can last a day or weeks depending on the problem. In a show situation one or two sessions per week is normally sufficient.

How does it show areas are sensitive?

Muscle tissue palpitates in sensitive areas because of super oxygenation and molecule movement in the cells.

How long does a session take?

Normal session time is 20 to 30 minutes.

When will results of session be seen or felt?

Results can be immediate with continued improvement over time with additional sessions.

When can the horse be worked after a session?

Immediately, there is no recovery time.

Can it be used pre-event?

Yes, but at the owner and/or trainer’s discretion. However, it is recommended that a session is completed on the animal ahead of time, since each can react differently to MagnaWave.  Some can be very relaxed afterwards, and others may not react this way. Try it, whether its a horse, cow, goat, sheep, pig or dog, before your next competiton!
